October 23, 2008.

Finally, Mrs. Martin is up and running a blog again. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Math- We have finished rates, ratio, algebra, 3-d geometry and number theory. We are currently finishing up percents.

Novel Study- Students are continuing with Crash novel- This will mainly be finished through ISU (independent study units) that are completed at home.

MS Readathon- All students in the 8-2 class are in a book club. Reading minutes will be put toward the MS Readathon. Hopefully students will get a few or a lot or sponsors. REMEMBER: $20 or more and you get a special dance, prizes and perhaps a pizza party for our class and BLONDE HAIR for Mr. R.G. ( probably a secret wish of his?) Do blondes have more fun?

Writing- Hallowe'en story boards for our Children's Book is being worked on. Bring in a CEREAL BOX for the hard cover. Thanks to Dwight for the extras.

Book orders due to Mr. Hickey.

Please have a look at the school blog for more special activities.
